Each brooch quite unique, cut from different areas of the pattern on the fabric, Lucy chooses the buttons from her large stash to coordinate or contrast with the colours in the wool fabrics. They are all stitched also with either coordinating or contrasting threads.
No Waste
The pieces of wool fabric that are left after cutting the heart shapes out, instead of being thrown away, are cut into small pieces and used as stuffing.
